A California law firm is acting in a commercial dispute where several key witnesses work for the client's London office. The firm needs their emails, files and phone messages collected, reviewed and produced to US discovery standards, but has no team on the ground in the UK.
Our approach
We would carry out remote and on-site forensic collections in London, including mobile phone extractions for WhatsApp messages, and process the data into a secure review platform. We would run early case assessment to cut volumes, then apply technology-assisted review with a managed review team, and handle privilege logging and redaction ready for production. The US firm would get regular reports aligned to its court deadlines.
The outcome
The law firm would have a single accountable partner in London, a defensible collection record, and a reviewed production delivered on schedule, without flying staff to the UK. Our examiners could also provide declarations on the collection process if challenged.
